Yurai Onsen and Yunoyama Onsen are located in Yurai-cho, Saeki-ku, northwestern Hiroshima City, and are surrounded by quiet and rich nature carved into deep valleys such as the Ota River System (first-class river) Mizuuchi River flowing through the center of the town. The geology is mainly granite, and hot springs gush out from deep cracks of granite along the Yunoyama fault line along the Mizunai River. Yurai Onsen was designated as a national recreation hot spring resort in 1975 and Yunoyama Onsen was designated as a national recreation hot spring resort in 1972. In July 1991, the efficacy and natural environment of both hot springs were recognized, and it was designated as a "National Health Hot Spring Resort" by the Environment Agency as "Yurai Yunoyama Onsen".

Yunoyama Onsen prospered as a hot spring resort for the Asano clan, the lord of Hiroshima in the Edo period, but "Yunoyamamei Shrine" such as the main shrine including the yuya is designated as an important tangible folk cultural property of the country. There has been a spring gushing out in Yunoyama since ancient times, and since the Kannobu period (1748-1750), it has been known as a hot spring for the sacred trial of Yunoyama Myojin, with the feudal lord's hot water. Currently, we are using a new public bath under the old Yutsubo cliff. On the upper part of the bath is a traditional yutsubo, and many ink books of the bathing person are left on the wall of the yuya, conveying the appearance of the time and the aspect of medical care and the faith related to it.

In recent years, the closure of ryokan has progressed, and the regeneration of hot spring resorts has become one of the major issues. We will continue to value the history, culture, and climate as a hot spring resort, and aim to be a distinctive hot spring resort that harmonizes with the surrounding nature and retains the atmosphere as a place of recreation, rest, and recuperation.
